A Code of Conduct has been drawn up by the British Association for Chemical Specialities (BACS) and the Legionella Control Association (LCA) which sets out the 6 areas that should be addressed by the service provider. Domestic Down Services Cleaning & Disinfection

The ACoP imposes specific duties on managers of site facilities to ensure that domestic water supplies, storage tanks and fittings are monitored and maintained to acceptable levels to ensure control of legionella.
Water tanks should comply with current water regulations, be inspected regularly and cleaned and disinfected if necessary.
